The electronics were sampled from a music box that plays the song "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole.
This piece explores the tendency of solitude to evoke internal reverie and the re-remembering of, and at times obsessing over, the past. Some of the harmonies present in "Unforgettable" are also present in the marimba part, and the music box serves as a reflection of the "internal" thoughts played and spoken by the marimbist. The Room (represented by the music box) acts as an echo chamber, amplifiying the musings and memories and revealing disscordance or beauty.
